After a beautiful autumn full of warm sunny and wonderful days here in Ibiza, we’re ready for some Ibiza Fènix Synergy into Action, to jump start our new Social Leadership movement and get as many projects up and running as we can before next spring time.

The Fènix Rising party we celebrated on Thursday the 26th of October turned out to be a very beautiful event, supported by around 120 people throughout a deliciously warm and sunny day, full of colour, laughter, synergetic purpose and interesting conversations, a full day of serious fun!

Before going on with the rest of the news for this month, I’d first like to say a special thanks to all our house team from Casita Verde, who worked so well to make that special day a big success, as well as to our good friends Alfonso the DJ, Dieke from Ibiza2Love event management, Evie our neighbour and Sandhi Spiers from the Wholistic Business Network, who helped so much with the organisation.  I’d also like to say a big thank you to members of our new movement, who turned up to share with the visitors their wealth of ecological and humanistic information from their particular branch of the Fènix tree, such as Gaby from the Renewable energy branch, Cati from Eco Agriculture, Lorena and Natalia from Responsible Tourism, Giada from Communications, Domenico and Cristian from Natural Health, Manu, Camila, David and Eli from Holistic Education, Vivo and Nadezhda from Art and Culture, Samuel, Luca, Nanou and Oscar from Local Products, Diego from Sustainable transport and Irene from Eco Construction.

As the Fènix rises in an organic way, as a social leadership initiative, we facilitate the growth, by having regular meetings each Thursday evening at Casita Verde, where we can discuss the direction and expansion of the new movement with as many active players as would like to participate. You may wonder if this is something you would like to participate in!

For the latest information about these meetings and others we organise for different branches on other days of the week, please check out our Ibiza Fènix Facebook page

This month, our famous carpenter/builder Dorus Rjikers is back onboard the good ship Casita Verde and ready for some constructive action after his marathon bicycle ride up to Amsterdam and back, a total of around 5000 km. This means we’ll be continuing with the construction of the already half built eco wagon next to the main parking at Casita Verde, plus installing a 6kw solar collector above the staff car park, hopefully finishing the nature pond we started last year and maybe offering some workshops on eco construction in the near future.

We also have a new offer to add to our open Sunday at Casita Verde. Doménico Caputo, an Italian osteopath / masseur is offering a holistic massage and treatment service in the beautiful and comfortable cave palace, just next to the entrance of Casita Verde. Massages and treatments are available from 13.00h until 19.00h. Anyone who would like to book a session with Doménico, please call him or send a whatsapp on 610398899, or just check out the situation when you arrive for lunch.

Another piece of good news is that there is now a fabulous new movie called ‘Prosperity’, which shows how business can help us to save our environment, much more quickly that we ever thought possible. Where governments have failed us and continue to be inactive on urgent problems, such as global warming, plastic oceans, inequality and destruction of our natural environment, new business ideals can and will ensure that we have the collective possibility to thrive on our still beautiful planet. As an addition up to our Fènix Rising event last month, we showed this film here at Casita Verde, followed by an interesting discussion about how we can also make some great changes to our business models here on the island.

Apparently, the prosperity movie now exists in both English and Spanish, so please watch this trailer and let us know what you think about the message it contains.

As the winter season begins this year, we see and feel that there is a tremendous amount of positive energy flowing in the island, so it’s our intention to use this moment to engage with as many other movements as possible and see how we can really make a collective difference to our living conditions.  It’s also a time to visit us at Casita Verde and get the latest news on what our groups are doing, plus learn how you can be a part of the new movement.

Meanwhile, don’t forget, that if you have any questions about alternative lifestyle techniques, or want to know how you can be a more eco-conscious citizen, please come and see us on Sundays, or Thursdays at Casita Verde, or on Saturdays at the Local products market in Forada.

You can also get in touch by email, sending your request to, or calling our main office on 971 187353.

With warm greetings from Casita Verde,
Chris Dews – coordinator

P.S. What would you know if you are learning every day?
